A search of my digital files revealed few photos taken in the past fifteen years on December 29th. I found one so-so sunset image, but not the quality usually desired for a picture of the week selection. However, it has been one year since the death of both our mothers eleven days apart last December. So, I looked for pictures (any date) of them together to use as a remembrance on this first anniversary, selecting this one. Their birthdays were only 3 days apart (11/17 and 11/20), and they both had received a coupon from the Bavarian Inn for a free birthday dinner. There were several image possibilities, and I often joke with people that it is not wise to walk ahead of the photographer, but this shot of them going on ahead somehow seemed appropriate. It became the choice. Donna's mom, Berneice, is the one using the walker. My mother, Joyce, is closest to the ice cream sign. Donna (on right) is the third person. I also liked the carriage coming back in the opposite direction. Here is to both of you. You are well remembered, and missed, as we look back over the years of togetherness, of mobility, and of better health for all of us.
